The computer appointment system led me to believe that the first available was some three weeks hence. I therefore got an urgent appointment on the day. The duty doctor , Dr. M, gave me a thorough examination and suggested a course of action. My only comment would be that the computer system could be improved.

I am amazed when my friends and family tell me about their difficulties with their pratice; I have nothing but praise for Parkside. I can always see a doctor in an emergency and always get excellent care. The surgery is very pleasant, clean and nicely decorated so all good.

Parkside Group Practice have GPs with specialist knowledge. They work together as a team to ensure patients receive a proper diagnosis, good advice and treatment. Our experience based on arthritis and a family history of Prostate Cancer

I am grateful for the nursing staff at Parkside who changed post (minor) surgery dressings. They are very caring, listen and provide reassurance. On one occasion the nurse called in a doctor for an opinion on whether further medication was required. This meant I left the surgery with a clean dressing and another prescription and reassured in my mind that all aspects of my care had been looked at. A very good service indeed. The receptionists even though they work under a great deal of pressure, are professional, calm and clear about what appointments can and can not be provided. They are clear on the phone and at the desk. Improvements: could provide a board in reception saying where the rooms are as some consulting rooms are upstairs. When you check in it is not clear from the screen that the person you are seeing is upstairs, where there is a separate waiting area.
